Life in Baltimore has felt uninspiring at times, but now I have finally figured out the one thing I’ve been itching to do all this time! To pour myself into creating my own Vintage resale business! And so became The Wanderer’s Closet (www.thewandererscloset.com); an eclectic collection of items I have stumbled upon along my path. I have a deep desire within me to share these gems with anyone who can appreciate the idea of recycling garments from past decades and mixing them with modern pieces.

When building a concept, it takes time to develop just the right amount of professionalism, along with the right amount of product. Over the past five years, I have been carefully selecting special items of intrigue, and in turn, my closet & home have become a diorama of all things beautiful, special & unique. I hope you like what I’ve come up with.

We live in this country we have grown to “love”. We are expected to agree, we are expected to follow suit. But I was not born to follow suit.

For years I have isolated myself from the things that I do not wish to worry about; the things beyond my control. But it is beginning to be clear to me now, that if I want to live outside of my own personal “la la land” and within an actual society that supports growth, and equality and freedom (in the true sense of the word), that MY generation is the generation that must come forth.

I cannot stop thinking about this. Our parents followed suit, and now where are they? They’re fucked! They cannot support their own homes and livelihood in the way that they were taught(assured) they would be able to. They do not have safety in their retirement, they do not have financial safety at all!

I will not follow suit. I have chosen my path, and at first, it was for personal gain; to continue my strong stance against the “popular vote,” but now, I see that I am on this exact path because I am one with conviction. I am one with strength and I am genuine and my spirit is whole and aching. I know that something is not right. I know that there is doom in our midst, and I refuse to dumb myself down and just fall into line.

But what the hell do I do to show the world my tiny, fighting spirit? How do I devote myself entirely to this conviction? Does anyone else feel me on this?
